Voltes V is the collective name of a super robot from the Japanese anime series Chodenji Machine Voltes V, first broadcast in 1977. This mecha is formed by the combination of five individual vehicles, each piloted by a member of the Voltes Team.
The Voltes Team consists of five individuals: Kenichi Go, the leader and pilot of Volt Cruiser; Ippei Mine, pilot of Volt Bomber; Daijiro Go, pilot of Volt Panzer; Hiyoshi Go, pilot of Volt Lander; and Megumi Oka, pilot of Volt Frigate. They are tasked with defending Earth from the Boazanian forces.
Voltes V possesses a variety of weapons and abilities, including the Volt Bazooka, Volt Lancer, and its signature finishing move, the Tenkuu Ken (Heavenly Sword), which is a sword formed from energy. The robot's design and capabilities are central to the series' narrative.
